Behind the Scenes Learning

Backstage Tours

The Hylton Center offers students and teachers a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of backstage: lights, audio, sets, and more. We also offer sensory-friendly, experiential, hands-on community-based instruction tours that reveal how a theater runs and what a student’s experience as a patron would look like.

Career Days

Hylton Center staff members are available to introduce and discuss careers in the performing and visual arts at your school’s career day. Contact for more information.

Accessible Options

Ticket Discounts

Special Prices for Students

Encourage your students to explore the arts with a special discount for groups of 10 or more students through Grade 12.  The Hylton Center offers $15 student group tickets to select Hylton Presents performances. For more information or to reserve seats, submit a Group Interest Form or contact the Ticket Office at 703-993-7759.

Hylton Presents

Half-price tickets are available for children and students through Grade 12 for all Hylton Presents performances. Learn more.

Hylton Family Series

Always a hit with children and families and always affordably priced, tickets for this popular series start at $15.

Hylton Center Arts Partners

Many of the Hylton Center’s Arts Partners also offer free or discounted student tickets to their events.
