ATTENTION: New Traffic Pattern Near the Hylton Center Coming in October

In the month of October, the intersection of University Boulevard and Route 234 Bypass (Prince William County Parkway) will no longer have left turn movements. Please follow the signs directing you to the Hylton Performing Arts Center via Discovery Boulevard.

This permanent traffic pattern change only affects patrons traveling on 234 South toward the Hylton Center, as well as patrons exiting the Hylton Center via University Boulevard to 234 South.

Tips for Planning Your Route:

  • Heading south on Prince William Parkway, drivers will need to turn right onto Discovery Boulevard before reaching the intersection with University Boulevard. Then, at the new intersection with University Boulevard, turn left toward the SciTech Campus.
  • To go south on Prince William Parkway from University Boulevard, drivers will need to head west on University Boulevard, proceed straight through the intersection with Prince William Parkway, and then turn right to head south on Prince William Parkway.

This project is administered by the Prince William County Department of Transportation, which has provided the following information and graphics:

The Intersection Improvements at Prince William Parkway and University Boulevard Project will be open to the traveling public in October 2024.
