The Hylton Center will be collecting food donations for Northern Virginia Family Service’s (NVFS) SERVE Hunger Resource Center from November 1 through December 23. Navara Cannon, community & volunteer engagement manager, SERVE & Greater Prince William shared, “No zip code is immune from hunger. Jobs have been cut. Workers (and their families) have been furloughed. Many dealt with their first missed paycheck this week. The basics are harder to provide right now. And every grocery list is now a negotiation. And in this moment, our community’s families need help. The Hunger Resource Center is currently distributing food to nearly 700 families.”
Please drop by the Hylton Center to say hello and share a donation. Holiday Drive donations can be dropped off at the Hylton Center Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or during scheduled performances.
