The Hylton Center Announces Engagement Activities with Grammy and Emmy Award-winning Trio Time for Three

Body
Time for Three

Returning to the Hylton Center almost ten years after their debut in 2016 we welcome Grammy and Emmy Award-winning trio Time for Three (TF3). Time for Three defies convention and boundaries by showcasing excellence across different genres, including classical music, Americana, and singer-songwriter. And, as one of our Mason Artists-in-Residence this season, TF3 will also offer opportunities for learning and workshops in our community.

Comprising Charles Yang (violin, vocals), Nicolas "Nick" Kendall (violin, vocals), and Ranaan Meyer (double bass, vocals), TF3 combines their instruments and voices in a remarkable sound, establishing a distinct voice of expression that resonates with listeners worldwide. The trio has collaborated with today’s most esteemed composers and artists; worked with Robin Wright to compose the music for her directorial film debut Land; and graced top stages around the world. TF3 is committed both on and offstage to encouraging the next generation of musicians.

The ensemble’s residency activities will include:

  • An Artist-in-Conversation event at CENTERFUSE in Historic Manassas
  • A field trip performance at the Hylton Center attended by Prince William County Public Schools, Manassas City Public Schools, and Manassas Park City Schools
  • Dewberry School of Music Strings Masterclass featuring Grace Aitel Award Scholarship recipients
  • A lecture/demonstration with students from Mason Community Arts Academy
  • A Live at the Library performance and discussion at Central Library in Manassas
  • A George Mason Arts Management class visit

These dynamic community efforts conclude with a trailblazing performance by Time for Three at the Hylton Center on Sunday, October 26, at 2 p.m. Their concert at the Hylton Center will feature a special performance by the Gar-Field High School Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dennis Leoni. Purchase your tickets to this award-winning trio of instrumentalists today!
