George Mason University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) is announcing free tickets to performances across Mason Arts venues for federal employees and/or contractors recently separated from positions. The venues join with other D.C. area arts organizations to engage those who have been let go from their positions.
“For more than 30 years, Mason Arts has enriched the greater Northern Virginia community through dynamic performances,” shared CVPA dean Rick Davis. “One of our Mason Arts values reflects a deep commitment to community—to manifest and celebrate the role of the arts in creating community by providing access to artistic work for all people. During this time, when some in our community may need it most, we want to make access to arts experiences easier.”
The offer extends to professional and George Mason student performances in the Center for the Arts and Harris Theatre on George Mason’s Fairfax Campus, as well as the Hylton Performing Arts Center on the Science and Technology Campus in Manassas. Free content is also available to watch on the digital venue Mason Arts Amplified.
Eligible Performances and Ticket Office Information*
Tickets for impacted individuals may be reserved by phone or in person at the venue Ticket Offices. Individuals will be asked to confirm government agency and date of separation.
