Welcome to 2025 at the Hylton Performing Arts Center! It’s a new year of riveting performances right here in your community. In our signature Hylton Presents series, we’re kicking things off with two very different, but equally compelling, performing arts experiences.
We’re thrilled to welcome back The Acting Company (2/15) with their new modern verse adaptation of The Comedy of Errors. One of Shakespeare’s earlier plays, this delightful farce presents twinning cases of mistaken identity, slapstick humor, and plenty of occasion for riotous laughter. The Acting Company is no joke though. Founded in 1972 and known for launching the careers of famous actors including Rainn Wilson and Kevin Kline, among other talents, this theater company is in the business of bringing engaging theatrical experiences to audiences around the nation.
We hope you’ll also join us for the Hylton Center debut of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra (2/23). With a reputation as one of Europe’s top symphonic ensembles for the past 26 years, the versatile group will perform a program featuring works by Voríšek, Mendelssohn, and Dvořák.
