- General Stagehand (PT)
Requires a basic understanding of technical theater and working with artists. Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed and must be attentive, able to follow instructions and a team player. - Driver / Runner (PT)
Must be 21 years or older, have a clean driving record, be able to drive 12 passenger vans, be comfortable driving into DC, and be physically able to assist with luggage. This person will pick up rental cars, transport artists between airport, hotel, train station and venue and run errands for inhouse artists and their artistic staff. Summer 2022 Marketing Internship
The College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) at George Mason University seeks a qualified marketing and communications intern for the summer of 2022. This position will work with the CVPA, Center for the Arts and Hylton Performing Arts Center marketing staff to promote performances, events, and programs.
Internships may have various areas of focus including:
- General marketing support including reviewing and editing patron-focused communications and website content;
- General publicity support including compiling earned media coverage, updating press contacts, and entering events into external calendars;
- Multimedia (videography/photography) collection support;
- Grassroots outreach;
- Email Marketing editing.
12-15 hours/week minimum preferred. Scheduling is flexible and all work will be done remotely. Internships are unpaid.
- Ability to independently manage time-sensitive projects;
- Strong writing, editing/proofreading skills;
- Familiarity with MS Office applications (Mac experience is a plus).

Spring 2022 Development Intern
The Development Department at Mason’s Hylton Performing Arts Center seeks a Development Intern for the Spring 2022 semester to raise funds for the Hylton Center’s programs and performances. The intern will have the opportunity to engage in all areas of Development operations for the Hylton Center, with a heavy emphasis on development events. Other areas of opportunity include the annual fund, Capital and Endowment Campaign, Corporate and Foundation relations, and volunteer engagement. Specific internship opportunities can be tailored to the interested candidate.
This internship is hybrid friendly; some on-site presence will be required (to include presence at a schedule of events and performances; appx. 12-15 events); some work can be coordinated from a remote location.
Internship will be appx. 10 hrs/week, with flexibility and credit hours available pending University approval.
