MUSICAL INSTRUMENT PICKUP PROTOCOL (applies only to participants borrowing instruments):

1. Veterans and the Arts Initiative staff will respond to registrants with a registration confirmation email. If you have indicated that you would like to borrow a guitar, staff will a) ask if you wish to borrow a workshop instrument (quantity is limited—and no more than two guitars may be distributed to one family based on availability)  and b) ask when you are able to meet for guitar pick-up based on available appointment times at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Virginia to sign out the instrument. Please allow 1-2 business days for staff to respond. NOTE: we are unable to ship guitars and can ONLY distribute through appointments set at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Virginia.

2. Program staff will respond to each request with suggested appointment times within the established guitar loan window. Loaner guitars will only be available for checking out during this time period. The participant must confirm a specific appointment time to meet with a staff member. Note: we are only able to meet with adults at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Virginia. If a minor is borrowing the instrument, a parent/guardian must pick up the instrument on their behalf.
